Although we are called Alternatives the therapists practice Complementary and Mainstream Treatments.
We advise all clients to consult their doctors, if necessary, and to inform them of any treatments they are receiving. We like to work alongside General Practitioners and several local GP`s refer clients to some of our therapists, especially for Osteopathy and Podiatry .Due to the nature of some complementary therapies it is a fact that some described benefits cannot or have not been proven by a rigorous medical testing procedure as would be the case with licensed drugs. Descriptions of treatments and their apparent benefits are taken from the therapists governing bodies ( e.g. for osteopathy, The General Osteopathic Council ) and from therapists experience and are given as a guide only. As an example Reflexology and Acupuncture are used a lot for fertility issues and are recommended by many IVF clinics as something that may help. We do see results but we cannot prove anything scientifically so you have to make a decision on that basis if you decide to have those treatments.
All treatments are by appointment daytime and some evenings, depending on the therapist and Northwood is less than four miles from Watford or Harrow.
